I got in to this career straight out of college and all I wanted to do was help people. Take care of them in their worst moment and be the one to make it just a little bit better. In just a short time I found that EMS was so much more than that. Pope County EMS has been my home for 7 years now. And when I say home I mean it in every sense of the word. This company, the people who I work beside day in and day out, are my family! We go through it all, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and everyone is ready to jump up and help at a moments notice. So yes, I love my job because I get to help people. It’s possibly the most rewarding part of my job, but it’s also about the family atmosphere and how we all help and have everyone’s back at the end of the day.

Pope County EMS has such a great work environment. I’ve been a part of Pope County EMS as a part-time EMT for about 1 Year now. My entire experience has been truly amazing, and I have learned so much from the field as well as the crews! Pope County EMS is a community that resembles a family.

Pope County EMS has opened many doors for me, civilian side and military side. It has taught me many skills that has been able to help advance my career and become the best EMT that I can. The friendships it has brought me are for a lifetime and the bond is in breakable. Pope County EMS isn’t just a job to me anymore, it has become something I look forward to every-time I work to help the citizens of pope county and my co workers the same
