PCEMS Membership

About our membership

Individual coverage is $65 per year.

Family coverage is $80 per year.

Everyone experiences emergencies from time to time – they’re simply a part of life.  Pope County Emergency Medical Services are called upon each day to respond to those in need of emergency treatment and transport.  Unfortunately, emergencies can be costly.  For instance, a typical emergency ambulance transport can often exceed $600, and most insurance providers will not cover the full amount of the bill.  You could be left with out-of-pocket expenses like co-pays and deductibles, even with the most comprehensive coverage.

Pope County Emergency Medical Services is pleased to offer a membership program for residents of Pope County.  The program is designed to benefit members by ensuring out of pocket expenses for emergency ambulance treatment and transport is kept to a minimum, or in some cases, eliminated.

Support for this cost saving program is a solid community investment that allows members to realize financial savings to them, their family, and the community in which they live.  In addition to the coverage you receive, all membership fees are returned to Pope County EMS to help provide the high level of emergency medical care that you have come to expect.

Pope County EMS will work with every insurance company by filing each time an ambulance is needed.  For covered emergency services, the amount received will be accepted as payment in full for members.  If no benefits are available, members will receive a 40% discount off the normal fees.  Non-members are billed for 100% of the charges each time an ambulance is used.
